It's not often 3-tonne bacon slicers turn up on the side of the road.
But this piece of industrial equipment is fast becoming one of the strangest and heaviest in Waikato Police's lost and found department.
Police say the massive bacon slicer was found on Mill St near Hamilton's Pak'nSave last week.
The slicer appeared to be in great condition and did not appear to have fallen off the back of a truck.
"To the best of our knowledge, we have not had any bacon slicers reported stolen or missing," a Facebook post read.
