Excellence, experience and enterprise are at the core of the E-Centre's business philosophy.
Located at the Massey University Albany campus, The E-Centre at present houses ten businesses.
The aim of the E-Centre is to develop these businesses to a point where they can successfully graduate into the North Shore business community.
E-Centre manager Steve Corbett expects that with the correct input from the incubator, businesses will move into the local community in 18-24 months.
The E-Centre is a partnership between Massey University, the North Shore City Council and the Tindall Foundation.
This partnership set up the business incubator with the aim of being a link between the local business community and the expertise of Massey University.
Most E-Centre businesses tie into the mathematics, technology and IT expertise that the Albany campus offers.
Once accepted, the entrepreneurial companies are offered a creative environment, full-time management advice, access to venture capital networks, specialist advice and direct links to university facilities.
The E-Centre can be contacted on 09-443 9793.
