A Hamilton massage parlour worker was allegedly assaulted after an incident early this morning.
A 26-year-old South Auckland man has since been arrested and charged with assaulting the female victim with intent to rob at the Victoria St premiere about 2.30am.
He will appear in the Hamilton District Court this morning.
Waikato police spokesman Andrew McAlley said police had also recovered a sum of money, however I was still unclear where it had come from.
The victim had not suffered serious injuries, he said.
