Huntly police are investigating after two masked, hooded men threatened a local bar employee with knives, forced her to empty a safe, locked her in a store room and stole her car.
The aggravated robbery happened at the McGintys Turf Bar on Saturday night.Detective Constable Julie Cowley, Huntly CIB, saidthe staff member was outside locking up the bar when the two men approached her at around 9pm.
"They threatened her and forced her to open the store. Both offenders were carrying knives.
"Once inside, the offenders demanded that she open the safe and took money from it. They then took her car keys and locked her in the storeroom."
The victim's vehicle, a silver 2002 Toyota Allion Saloon, was parked on Main Street, near the bar entrance. The offenders took the car and travelled north towards State Highway 1.
Police have obtained CCTV footage of the two men believed to be involved in the robbery outside the Fruit King and Kbeez Fruit shops on Main Street, just 20 minutes before the robbery.

In the footage, one of the men is wearing a white mask, dark coloured bum bag, dark hooded sweatshirt with a dark coloured t-shirt over top of it, dark pants and dark shoes with white soles and a white printed emblem on the heel area. He is of larger build.
The second man is of smaller build and was wearing a dark coloured mask, blue hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and similar shoes.
