Huntly police are investigating after two masked, hooded men threatened a local bar employee with knives, forced her to empty a safe, locked her in a store room and stole her car.
The aggravated robbery happened at the McGintys Turf Bar on Saturday night.Detective Constable Julie Cowley, Huntly CIB, said the staff member was outside locking up the bar when the two men approached her at around 9pm.
"They threatened her and forced her to open the store. Both offenders were carrying knives.
"Once inside, the offenders demanded that she open the safe and took money from it. They then took her car keys and locked her in the storeroom."
The victim's vehicle, a silver 2002 Toyota Allion Saloon, was parked on Main Street, near the bar entrance. The offenders took the car and travelled north towards State Highway 1.
