KEY POINTS:
Two family members of murdered New Zealand woman Catherine Marlow will go to London next week to record a television appeal to help with police investigations.
New Zealand police had initially organised for the appeal to be in Hastings.
The family, however, asked for the recording to be cancelled and two family members, a brother and a brother-in-law, will instead travel to London to record the appeal, New Zealand Police communications spokesman Jon Neilson said.
"They just felt they were able to give more information if they were there," Mr Neilson said.
The Marlow family released a statement yesterday thanking the New Zealand media "for their respect for our family over the past week".
"We have been left alone to grieve as a family and concentrate on assisting the Metropolitan Police with their enquiries," the statement said.
"As a family we believe it is important to assist the police in any way we can with their investigations.
"It is both the hope of the police and our family that by doing this someone seeing the coverage will be reminded of something that might provide more leads.
"Our family continues to deal with this nightmare every day and while nothing will bring Catherine back, finding who is responsible will hopefully provide answers."
Ms Marlow was killed at her workplace in southwest London on January 13.
