With special votes counted, Wairarapa officially has three MPs, with Ikaroa-Rawhiti candidate Marama Fox, of Masterton, keeping the Maori Party list MP position she achieved on election night.
The Maori Party secured 1.32 per cent of the party vote, ensuring Ms Fox, as number two on the party list, joins leader Te Ururoa Flavell, who won the Waiariki electorate.
Wairarapa MP Alastair Scott earned another 1310 special votes, taking his tally to 16,223, short of the 2011 election result of 17,881 for John Hayes.
However, National secured nearly 1600 more party votes.
Labour's Kieran McAnulty earned another 767 votes, and new NZ First list MP Ron Mark another 624.
