Maritime museum gets $100,000 grant for Pacific Discovery project

The National Maritime Museum has been given a $100,000 government grant to help fund a new Pacific Discovery display.

The museum on Auckland's waterfront presents a range of stories covering the associations that New Zealanders have with the sea.

Minister of Tourism Mark Burton says the latest attraction will add a new level of storytelling using cutting edge technology and audiovisual design to create a virtual reality experience.
