Marine awards on hold

The annual Australian marine awards, including the Boat of the Year categories, have been suspended until 2002.

The new chief executive officer of the Australian Marine Industries Federation says the plan is to take the awards to a higher level.

The federation has begun a consultation process to adjust entry requirements, judging criteria, timing of the event and other changes.
