A hearing into Conservation Minister Chris Carter's veto of resource consents for a marina at Whangamata begins today.
The hearing in the High Court at Wellington follows the Whangamata Marina Society's application for a judicial review of Mr Carter's March 7 decision.
Mr Carter has the power to accept or reject proposed coastal resource consents following an Environment Court recommendation.
