Entertainer and community leader Sir Howard Morrison has been recognised by the University of Auckland Business School Outstanding Maori Business Leader Award at a ceremony this week.
Former international cricketer and art investment company manager Adam Parore was awarded the 2004 Dame Mira Szászy Maori Business Leaders Alumni Award.

The Business School awarded nine Kelly Scholarships to assist outstanding business students. Worth $2 million, the scholarships will be awarded for the next 15-20 years to support outstanding undergraduate and graduate students to study at the Business School, with $1 million set aside for students of Maori descent. More than 1000 Maori students have graduated from the school.
The associate dean of Maori and Pacific Development at the Business School, Manuka Henare, paid tribute to the achievements of Sir Howard and Mr Parore, which were recognised along with the Kelly Scholars at the Business School annual Maori Business Leaders Alumni Dinner.
