Manurewa Molly, the dumped kitten rescued by a police constable this morning, has met her new mum and dad.
Earlier today it was reported that the black and white kitten found outside Manurewa police station had made herself right at home among staff.
Molly was photographed with her new owners when they collected her from the station this afternoon.
The post accompanying the image read: "Thank you so much to everyone who offered to give Manurewa Molly a home. She may not have had the best start to life, but this kind couple from the North Shore couldn't be more excited about the new addition to their family."
The husband and wife who work for police on the North Shore picked up Molly this afternoon and took her to live with their foster cat and two foster dogs.

The "sweet little kitten" was found in a clothing bin outside the station on Halver Rd by an officer.
"It's now being well looked after and is making itself at home," police wrote on the Counties Manukau police Facebook page.
Constable Gaylene Rice said she found Molly when she arrived at work early this morning.
The kitten was nestled in a plastic bag filled with clothing next to the bin, which was full.
She guessed Molly was only about 6 to 8 weeks old, and must have been dumped there, or have escaped from her home overnight.
Ms Rice took Molly into the station and a senior sergeant popped out to get some food and worming tablets. She was hungry and exhausted, Ms Rice said. "I've tried to keep her in a box under my desk, but she only wants to sleep curled up in my jersey on my lap."
She admitted this was not the first time she's rescued an abandoned cat.
Ms Rice admitted she might miss Molly a bit, but having a kitten tucked into her top had not made working this morning easy.
The 29-year-old died in a single-car crash on Friday.
