KEY POINTS:
Manukau Mayor Len Brown remains in a critical condition following a setback in his recovery from a heart attack.
Mr Brown has been readmitted to Auckland Hospital's intensive care unit after his condition took a turn for the worse.
He underwent heart bypass surgery on June 3 after collapsing on stage at the Pacific Music Awards on May 31.
A Manukau City Council spokeswoman told NZPA today Mr Brown's condition remained the same.
Mr Brown had been regarded as improving following the surgery and Acting Mayor Gary Troup said his turn for the worse was a concern.
