A Featherston farmhand was yesterday found guilty in the Wellington District Court of setting a mantrap with intent to injure.
Matthew Joseph Dinnan, 21, set a wire across a light switch in June last year. When the farm manager's wife cleaned the room, she got a shock.
Dinnan pleaded not guilty and was remanded on bail for sentencing on September 22.
