A 52-year-old man is to appear in the Hamilton District Court today over the death of a woman found suffering serious injuries at her home.
Raewyn Green, 50, was assaulted at her Pinfold Ave house and later died of her injuries in hospital, sparking a homicide inquiry.
However, police today confirmed a man would appear in court this afternoon facing a charge of manslaughter.
Detective Sergeant William Loughrin said the man was known to Ms Green but was not able to comment on the relationship as the matter was now before the courts.
Ms Green later died of her injuries in Waikato Hospital.
