Manslaughter charge for 17-year-old

Police have charged a 17-year-old woman with manslaughter after a Waitangi Day crash in which a teenager died.

She also faced charges of burglary, unlawfully taking a vehicle and theft (two charges) relating to offences committed just before the crash, said Detective Glenda Barnaby, of Palmerston North.

Corey Lee Raye Muraahi, 16, of Marton, died when the car he was in hit a tree near Wanganui early on February 6.
