Auckland double murder accused Cheng-Qi Wang has been released on bail but the decision is likely to be appealed by the Crown.
Wang is accused of murdering Zhuo "Michael" Wu, 44, and Yishan "Tom" Zhong, 53, at his multi-million dollar mansion in the Auckland suburb of Mt Albert on January 14.
Wang, who denies the charges, was freed last week after an appearance in Auckland District Court.
His lawyer Andrew Jones, QC, has claimed that Wang acted in self defence.
Police opposed bail and said today the decision was likely to be appealed.
