Man's hand 'degloved' of skin in accident

A 45-year-old man's hand was "de-gloved" of its skin yesterday after a rag he had wrapped around it got caught in the engine of a vehicle he was working on.

The Waiouru man was airlifted by the Square Trust Rescue Helicopter to Hutt Hospital's plastic surgery unit.
