KEY POINTS:
A man's body was recovered from the Waikato River in Hamilton this morning.
Police were notified of the discovery just north of Bridge St about 10.17am, Inspector Ian Brooker of the police northern communications centre said.
Hamilton CIB police were at the scene.
Police could not yet say whether it was the body of 21-year-old Deon Cowdrey who fell from a central Hamilton bridge on August 2.
