The discovery of a man's body near Lake Taupo yesterday is not being treated as suspicious, police say.
Taupo man Dirk Willem Van der Schaaf, 50, was found dead on the Lions Walk of Lake Terrace, near the Napier-Taupo Highway (State Highway 5) about 4.30pm.
A post-mortem would be carried out, police said.
The death was not being treated as suspicious and police were not seeking anyone else.
