Police have blocked off an area near the train tracks in Ngaruawahia following the discovery of a man's body.
Police are asking drivers to avoid the area north of the intersection where Great South Rd intersects with River Rd and Kelm Rd.
Waikato police Senior Sergeant Mike Henwood said a body had been found on the tracks and police had cordoned off the area to investigate.
Police would not confirm whether it was the body of missing Ngaruawahia man Jayden Davis who was last seen at the Tribal Pride event on Saturday night held at Turangawaewae Marae.
In a statement earlier today, police said the road closures were due to an earlier incident on the train tracks in the town.
