KEY POINTS:
Wellington police are investigating after a man's body was found at his Karaka Bay home today.
Family members found the 69-year-old's body in his garden at about 9.20am, Detective Senior Sergeant Paul Borrell said.
"The circumstances of how the man died are as yet unclear," he said.
"Police are talking with the man's family who are naturally distraught. They are also receiving help from Victim Support."
Mr Borrell said police were examining the property and the Coroner had been advised.
Police are contacting next of kin.
