KEY POINTS:
A man who made national headlines while on the run for several months has made a brief appearance in the High Court at Rotorua.
Richard Alan Duthie, 40, of no fixed abode, appeared in court today after pleading not guilty to charges of supplying methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine for supply, and two charges of possessing substances used for manufacturing methamphetamine.
The offending is alleged to have occurred in Tauranga in September last year.
Justice Christopher Allan remanded Duthie in custody to a callover on November 22. He faces further charges relating to his time on the run and is due to appear back in Waitakere District Court on Monday next week.
