Wairarapa cricket officials are on the hunt.
They are looking for a manager for their senior B representative side which will play three matches over the 2005-06 season.
The first of them will be away to Wanganui on December 11, the second at home to Manawatu on January 8 and the third at Wanganui on January 29 when they will play Taranaki.
Current senior selector Dick Kendall said the person appointed would only have to manage the side, they would not necessarily be involved in the selection process.
"We just want someone who will travel with the players and ensure that their interests are looked after," he said.
"It's not an arduous job but it is an important one."
Kendall is very confident the Wairarapa Bs will be a competitive unit.
"There are a lot of players who are on the fringes of the A squad who deserve the chance to play rep cricket," he said.
"The Bs gives them that chance and we don't want to deprive them of it.".
