Mana Party just meets registration deadline

The day before the Te Tai Tokerau by-election, Hone Harawira's Mana Party has been granted registration.

The Electoral Commission has conceded there is a remote possibility of the party's name confusing or misleading a small number of voters in the Mana electorate.

However it says this falls short of the grounds for refusal of registration of a political party.
