The gang member who lost an eye when he was shot by a rival gang had a court order suppressing his name lifted today.
Akustino Tae, 27, was charged with the unlawful possession of a firearm after the two gangs shot at each other in the south Auckland suburb of Otara on January 29.
He was remanded in custody without plea until April for a pre-depositions hearing but was expected to apply for bail before his next appearance.
Two others, also facing firearms charges, were granted name suppression when they appeared in Manukau District Court.
One was released on bail and the other was remanded in custody.
