A man engaged with a prostitute at a Christchurch hotel says he was robbed at knifepoint before both the robber and escort ran off.
The man was with the woman, believed to be an escort, at Redwood Hotel at around 1am on Sunday.
"While in the room, another man has knocked on the door, forced entry and presented a knife and taken approximately $200 cash from the victim," a police spokesman said.
"The offender has then fled the scene with the escort and drove away in a vehicle."
No-one was injured in the incident.
