A man has been rushed to hospital after being trapped in his car following a single-vehicle crash between Rotorua and Taupo this morning.
The 51-year-old man was the sole occupant of the vehicle when it crashed on State Highway 1 near the Maroa Rd intersection around 10.35am.
He was travelling south along SH1 when his car left the road and crashed into some vegetation, a police officer at the scene said.
The man was then trapped inside his vehicle.He has since been freed and was taken to Taupo Hospital with minor injuries.
