A man whose body was found washed up on rocks north of Raglan yesterday was on a boat and not fishing off rocks, say Hamilton police.
The 53-year-old man's body was found on rocks at an isolated spot on Waikato's west coast, Te Hara Point, about 15km north
of Raglan.
Police initially said the man was thought to have been fishing off rocks before falling into the surf and drowning.
However, today they said he was on a boat but details of how he came to be in the water were not available.
The man's name has yet to be released.
