A man appeared in court today following an armed offenders' squad hunt for a gunman near a west Auckland primary school yesterday.
Paul Christopher Dunn, 46, appeared in Waitakere District Court charged with trespass and unlawful possession of a firearm.
He was remanded on bail until his next appearance on June 22.
Staff and pupils at Blockhouse Bay Primary School were put in lockdown for more than two hours before the alleged gunman gave himself up to police. Pupils were given the all clear to go home just before 5pm.
