A man who lied to police about witnessing the aftermath of Scott Guy's murder and who racked up 40 convictions before he was 21 is back in court again.
Andrew Colin George Jacobs, 23, appeared in the Palmerston North District Court today on charges of obtaining by deception and breaching prison release conditions, Fairfax reported.
When Jacobs was 18, he was fined $500 by the courts for calling a police enquiry hot line and giving them a false tip on the Scott Guy murder case. Jacobs pleaded guilty to obstructing police.
Scott Guy was shot dead in his Feilding driveway in July 2010. His brother in law, Ewen Macdonald, was acquitted of his murder but was jailed for other offences.
Jacobs also said he had cancer to trick a 17-year-old girl out of money from her dead father's estate, and was jailed for the crime in 2014, Fairfax said.
