Man who filmed best mate's girlfriend in shower fined

Christchurch man who crawled into the roof space of his house and filmed his best friend's girlfriend in the shower has been hit by a $1000 court order.

Greg Alan Holland, 26, was yesterday ordered by Judge Christopher Somerville to pay the woman the money for "a gross invasion of [her] privacy".

Holland was charged in Christchurch District Court with making an intimate video recording and was convicted and discharged, Fairfax Media reported.

Outside court later the victim, 24, told the newspaper she felt "violated, disgusted and betrayed".

She and her partner had lived with Holland.

Police told the court Holland crawled along beams in the ceiling and removed insulation above the bathroom vent to shoot his video-camera film.
