Inquiries are continuing into an incident where an Alexandra man suffered critical injuries when he fell from a moving van on Saturday evening.
The incident happened on State Highway 8 between Clyde and Cromwell, when the van was thought to have been travelling at a speed of around 100km/h, Sergeant Derek Ealson said.
Andrew James Sinclair, 25, remained in a serious condition on life support in Dunedin Hospital.
The serious crash investigation was ongoing as police continued to speak with a number of independent witnesses who had seen the van travelling on SH8 before the incident occurring, Mr Ealson said.
