A man who fell from a van travelling at 100km/h between Clyde and Cromwell last weekend has died in hospital.
Andrew James Sinclair, 25, of Alexandra suffered serious head injuries when he fell from the van and was taken to Dunedin Hospital last Saturday night, where he has since died.
Police said at the time it was believed Mr Sinclair climbed from the back window of the van and fell.
Mr Sinclair's family said through police they had been overwhelmed with messages of support from those within the community and wanted to pass on their thanks.
The family requested privacy.
