Man who died in tractor accident named

Police have named the man who died yesterday, after his tractor rolled on top of him, on his remote farm south of Kaikoura.

He was Stuart Edward Wood, 49.

Police earlier said Mr Wood was cultivating a hillside paddock on his farm called The Conway, when his tractor rolled at about 12.44pm.

A family member saw the incident and contacted emergency services.

Labour Department health and safety inspectors are investigating.
