The man who died in a vehicle crash near Christchurch yesterday morning has been identified as 53-year-old Kevin James Davies.
Mr Davies, 53 of Christchurch, died after the crash on Bealey Road.
Senior Constable Pitkethley of Darfield police said drivers needed to be aware of possible icy conditions on Canterbury roads during winter.
