An elderly man who died following a collision between a light truck and his mobility scooter has been named by police.
Rex Sheldon, 88, was from the Mosgiel area of Dunedin.
He was struck while crossing the intersection of Bush Rd and Gordon Rd in Mosgiel around 2.50pm on Friday. He died yesterday in Dunedin Hospital.
The truck driver has been interviewed by police and two witnesses have also been spoken to.
Inquiries into the cause of the crash were continuing, police said.
