A man has been charged in relation to a crash at a Masterton petrol station.
Police have not named the 31-year-old who yesterday was the subject of a public appeal for his whereabouts after an SUV being pursued by police crashed into the Solway Caltex about 7.30am.
He has now been located and charged with failing to stop, dangerous driving and leaving an accident scene and is due to appear in Masterton District Court today.
The impact of the crash appeared to cause serious damage to the petrol station, with photos of the roof over the forecourt collapsed.
