A former farmer who broke the tails of 46 cows is heading to jail after breaching the terms of his home detention.
Saul Beaumont was sentenced in September to four months home detention, and disqualified from working with dairy cows for five years.
But today he admitted to the Hamilton District Court he breached the conditions by drinking alcohol.
He will be re-sentenced to a jail term next month.
