A man walking between traffic on Auckland's Northwestern Motorway caused significant delays for morning commuters.
The man was spotted walking on the motorway just before 8am between Royal Rd and Lincoln Rd.
NZTA said the police incident affected traffic in both directions and warned rush hour motorists to expect delays.
"A police issue is causing delays in both directions between Royal Rd and Lincoln Rd currently. Please allow extra time until the issue is resolved."
