A young man accused of stabbing a 46-year-old Westport beneficiary in June has been committed for trial in December.
Tyronne Munns, 19, appeared at a depositions hearing at Westport District Court today.
He denied five charges, including wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, laid following an alleged stabbing in Lyttelton St on June 8.
Munns was remanded in custody, until a bail application was approved, to appear at the High Court in Greymouth for trial on December 6.
