Man tails thieves after spotting his work truck

A Napier man couldn't believe his eyes as he drove to work this week - his own work truck passed him travelling in the opposite direction.

He immediately called police, did a u-turn, and followed the white Nissan Atlas 150 flatdeck truck, Hawke's Bay Today reported.

He eventually backed off when he realised the offenders had spotted him.

Police scoured the area but found no sign of the truck and have now appealed to the public to help them find it.
