Save A man has been taken to hospital with electrical burns after a power transformer short circuited at Cashmere High School in Christchurch.
St John Ambulance spokesman Andy Gray said they were called to the school about 4pm after a 48-year-old male suffered from electrical burns.
He said the man had
moderate to serious injuries, and was transported to Christchurch Hospital.
Fire service southern communications shift manager Andrew Norris said the man's burns were caused by a power transformer that short circuited.
He said there was no fire.
