Man stole his car back

A man who stole his car back from a car wrecker because he felt he had been ripped off has been given 60 hours' community work.

In the Invercargill District Court yesterday, David Jackson Mahia, 23, was sentenced by Judge Peter Butler on a charge of unlawfully taking a motor vehicle and making a false statement to police.
