A man who fell 12 storeys from the balcony of an Auckland hotel last week remains in hospital in a critical condition.
The 25-year-old man suffered severe head injuries after he fell from the 16th floor of the All Seasons hotel on Friday - his 42m drop was broken by the corrugated iron roof of a neighbouring building.
Witnesses reported seeing two men jumping on seats and a table on the small corner balcony before the fall.
The man had been visiting a guest at the time of the incident, according to staff.
He was recovering at Auckland City Hospital where he remained in a critical but stable condition, said a spokesman.
