A Waikato man is recovering after having surgery to be remove a pitchfork from his foot after a farm accident.
The 19-year-old stuck the pitchfork about 7cm into his ankle while feeding out at a Te Aroha farm yesterday morning.
He was taken to Waikato Hospital with the pitchfork still in his foot and was today in a stable condition.
