KEY POINTS:
A 34-year-old Palmerston North man is in stable condition in hospital after being stabbed several times with a knife last night.
Detective Sergeant David Clifford said police would today be speaking to several witnesses and conducting a scene investigation.
The stabbing took place at a central city property.
Police were alerted about 8pm, when they were called to Palmerston North Hospital, where officers spoke to the victim, Mr Clifford said.
Police urged anyone with information to contact them.
