KEY POINTS:
A 19 year-old man has been flown to Auckland Hospital after being stabbed twice outside a Wellsford party last night.
Inspector Earle McIntosh said the stabbing happened about 9.25pm last night.
Mr McIntosh said the victim, who was flown to Hospital by Westpac rescue helicopter, was in a stable condition after undergoing surgery.
He said police had arrested a man and charged him with assault. The man will appear in the North Shore District Court this morning.
