A man has been seriously injured in a stabbing incident during a neighbourhood dispute in Coromandel last night.
The stabbing happened during a fight with another man about 11.15pm, police said.
The injured man was flown to Auckland Hospital in a critical condition.
Police were investigating the incident, and had been speaking to a person of interest, Senior Sergeant Damion Rangitutia said.
Officers would continue their inquires today as they attempted to piece together the events overnight, he said.
