A 24-year-old man was stabbed in the back at a 21st birthday party in Hamilton overnight.
Police said the victim was taken to Waikato Hospital with stab wounds after a fight at the party in Mahoe St.
A 23-year-old Hamilton man will appear in Hamilton District Court this morning charged with wounding with intent.
Detective Sergeant Ricky Thompson has called for anyone who was at the party to get in touch.
"Any information from anyone present at the party will significantly assist with the investigation."
