A man was stabbed and forced to drive his car to two ATMs.
Two men went to his home in Christchurch and confronted him with two weapons at 5am today.
"They forced him to take his vehicle to two ATMs before going to a petrol station where the victim was able to run off," detective constable Luke Vaughan said.
The victim, who knew the men, was treated at Christchurch Hospital for minor stab wounds and is expected to be discharged later today.
Mr Vaughan said police were looking for a stolen silver 1989 Jaguar Sovereign with the registration GAN945.
